After the morning spent going around the Chợ Nổi Cái Răng (Cai Rang Floating Market) it was more bus for the four hour or so trip to the Rừng Tràm Trà Sư (Tra Su Cajuput Forest) bird sanctuary. Soon after the bus pulled in we piled into motor boats to cross to the entrance, then into a smaller motorboat to go around the main part of the site before changing to a row boat. Going through the cajuput tree (Melaleuca, Paperbark) lined canals was the most spectacular part of the visit. Although we saw a large flock of wild ducks on arrival only a few solitary birds were visible as we were cruising around. After spending just under two hours it was back on the bus to Châu Đốc and our hotels.
