Stop 2 on my tour around Buri Ram, 10 minutes from Phanom Rung was Prasat Muang Tam - ปราสาทเมืองต่ำ ปราสาทหิ, smaller in scale and fortunately not at the top of a large staircase. Built between the 10th and 11th centuries CE the temple is located in a large park and has a couple of well preserved barays surrounding the complex. See Wikipedia and Oriental Architecture.
