Stop 1 Hmong Village near Muang Kham, Xieng Khouang While not exactly swords into ploughshares, although I wouldn't be surprised, you can see how this village has neutered dome of the UXO.
Stop 2 Tad Kha Waterfall, Douang Sai Chai This waterfall cascades over several tiers, access is from either the top or the bottom. We started walking from the base and didn't make it all the way to the top.
